Aldeburgh is a real gem of a town! The Suffolk town is small enough to stroll through from end to end with all the old fashioned charm of the English seaside yet with some of the most stylish cafes, restaurants and boutiques to be found in this part of Suffolk. Ice cream parlours rub shoulders with trendy teenage shops, the Aldeburgh Festival box office with a delicatessen and some stylish boutiques - a wonderful mix for all the family and a perfect day out.

During your stay there is much to do with sailing, two excellent links golf courses at Aldeburgh and nearby Thorpeness, four public tennis courts, a large children's play ground and all the attractions of a seaside resort including a lifeboat station, which holidaymakers are able to visit unless the lifeboat is out of course! There is even a boat pond ideal for a spot of racing of a morning whilst the world ambles by on the sea wall.

In addition Snape Maltings, 2 miles from Aldeburgh, is home to the internationally renowned Aldeburgh music. One of the greatest musical festivals in the world, created by Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears in the 1960's and show casing lots of young talent and new works throughout the year. The Festival in early summer each year is a must when staying in Aldeburgh. There are wonderful walks nearby both along the beach and across the marshes that surround the town.

Additionally, Minnismere with its wonderful opportunities for bird watching is within 8 miles. For the foodies, fish is the order of the day, with fresh fish being sold direct from the fisherman's boats on the beach all year around. Aldeburgh has an excellent range of restaurants together with three takeaways and two fish and chip shops for you to enjoy.
