A warm welcome awaits all our guests to our high 4 star ETC rated homely and friendly accommodation, which still retains some of its original Edwardian features, 25 metres from the seafront. Free secure Wi-Fi internet access. All rooms are comfortably furnished with TV, hospitality tray, hair dryer and clock radio. Guest Lounge available all day. Non smoking throughout. Close to Felixstowe town centre and the Spa Pavilion with its beautiful Edwardian gardens but still just 5 minutes by car from the dock area.

About Felixstowe

  • In the past, Felixstowe was important to England's defence - in 1667 Dutch soldiers landed and failed to capture Landguard Fort. Today, you can visit the spectacular Landguard Fort.
  • During late Victorian 1880s Felixstowe became a fashionable resort, helped by the opening of Felixstowe railway station. Today, you can still arrive at Felixstowe by train, via Ipswich, which stands on the London Liverpool Street line.
  • If you're driving to Felixstowe, the A14 takes you from the heart of England right to the town.
  • Volunteers from Felixstowe History and Museum Society operate a museum in the old submarine mining establishment building at Landguard Point, between the Fort and Port. You can visit the Museum on Sundays, Bank Holidays and Wednesdays during the summer.
  • Landguard doe not only have a great military history, it is also teeming with bird life. Today, you go bird-watching at the Landguard Bird Observatory.
  • Felixstowe has a pebbly beach that runs for about four miles. A promenade runs the length of the beach with traditional beach huts and seaside shops.
  • The Spa Pavilion Theatre stands on the seafront, has nearly 1,000 seats, and puts on a wide variety of shows; comedy, music and bands, pantomimes, children's shows, nostalgia, local am.dram., musicals, ballet, tribute bands.
  • Felixstowe is a great base to visit all the attractions that stretch northwards along the Suffolk coast, most of which lies within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
