Oak House, Mill Street, Gislingham, Suffolk IP23 8JT

Bed and Breakfast in beautiful, quirky, 15th Century farmhouse. Delightful rooms with luxurious beds. Fantastic home cooked food. Welcoming hosts.

All our bacon and sausages come from a local farmer/butcher called Highways. He specialises in Gloucester Old Spot pork and makes wonderful sausages, pickles and jams. Eggs come from our own free range chickens in the back garden. We also use Sunnyside farm shop locally for vegetables.
Quiet rural village, ideally situated in Mid Suffolk, offering easy access to the coast and inland areas.

Gislingham dates back to Viking times and is named after the Norseman Gisli. Like many other local villages, Gislingham has a pretty church, St Mary's, dating back to the 13th Century and many interesting medieval houses. The owners of Oak House have researched the history of their home and local area and are happy to show guests around.
