Marlesford is a sleepy little village just off the A12, about three miles from Wickham Market. Easy access to Aldeburgh, Framlingham, Orford, Thorpeness, Southwold, Woodbridge, and the Suffolk forests and heaths. Wickham Market has a good choice of independent shops. Historic Woodbridge, on the River Deben, has many interesting specialist shops, pubs, restaurants, a pool, cinema and railway station.

Goat Cottage is a renovated cart lodge that lies at the end a farm track on a small working farm. The cottage has rural views across fields, and was named after the friendly goats which live in the adjacent field. This single storey, well presented holiday home provides comfortable accommodation for up to four.

    

Through the stable door entrance, the hall has boot and coat storage, a washing machine and the oil fired boiler. Spacious bathroom with a shower bath, WC and wash basin. Open plan living and dining area with large windows to the front and the back. The woodburner can make it cosy. Built-in kitchen area with microwave, electric cooker, fridge with ice compartment. Two bedrooms, both with pine king size beds, ample storage, and doors onto the garden.

        

        

As well as the woodburner, there is underfloor heating throughout, wooden double sealed windows. The owners provide all bedlinen and towels, a flatscreen TV, a DVD and CD player with a small library of films and music, freeview, ‘unofficial’ internet access via the main farmhouse, outside garden furniture and a BBQ. A travel cot and high chair can be requested when booking.

A small, well behaved dog is welcome, if kept under control and does not frighten the goats. No smoking.
