Lark Cottage is a pretty, period, semi-detached cottage situated on a narrow road leading down to the river and large recreation park and is within easy walking distance to the town centre.

Although there are still many exposed beams and a large inglenook fireplace, this cottage has been thoughtfully updated to offer the visitor modern comforts in olde worlde surroundings.

Lark Cottage, which sleeps no more than five persons, is made up of, on the ground floor, an entrance hall, downstairs cloakroom with a shower, good sized sitting room with wooden floors, an inglenook fireplace and woodburner (can be used with care) and comfortable soft seating, a pleasant dining room, a sunroom and a fitted kitchen with a utility room off.

Solid, straight stairs lead onto a landing (mind the beams!) and a double bedded bedroom, a single bedroom, a twin bedded bedroom and bathroom with WC.

The stable door from the utility room leads onto a patio which leads to a medium sized lawn.  The lawn can also be reached via the sunroom.  There is a narrow off-road parking space located beside the cottage.

Household facilities include a double bed and three single beds, electric oven with gas hobs, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, water softener, fridge/freezer, colour TV, DVD, a radio/cd player, full gas central heating and the woodburner.

There is free wireless broadband internet access and a telephone – visitors will be billed for excessive use of the outgoing phone line.  Duvets, pillows and bedlinen are provided but please remember to bring towels and teacloths with you. 

One small, well behaved dog is allowed.  Smoking is not permitted inside the house.
