Victoria Cottage is an end of terrace, Victorian property situated in an attractive street of old houses and cottages just off the pretty Market Hill and is within easy walking distance of the river and all the amenities offered by this charming, historic town.

This popular, comfortable cottage is being offered for self-catering holidays when not required by the owners and provides well equipped accommodation for not more than five persons.  It is regretted that children under the age of 7 years are not allowed.

There is no parking immediately outside the property but there is free, unrestricted parking, as available, on the opposite side of Seckford Street, restricted parking on the Market Hill or there is a small public carpark about 200 yards away beside the fire station in Theatre Street which is free between 6.00pm and 8.00am and on Sundays. Alternatively, the local council can provide a weekly car park ticket for your particular vehicle. Should you require one of these tickets, please advise us at the time of making your reservation - please note that this ticket does not guarantee a carpark space, it is just a cheaper and easier way of parking and saves hunting for the correct coins!

On the ground floor an enclosed passageway leads from the porch and front door to a spacious entrance hall.  There is a sunny, comfortable sitting room with an ornamental woodburner (not used) and a good sized, well equipped, light and airy kitchen/dining room from which a door opens out into the small, walled rear garden with lawn and paved areas.  A solid, open tread, wooden staircase leads from the entrance hall to the first floor where there is a double bedded bedroom, a twin bedded bedroom and a single bedroom as well as a bathroom with hand held shower, wash hand basin and WC.

Household amenities include two colour TVs, a DVD player, automatic washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave, a telephone for ‘incoming calls’ only, gas central heating and some garden furniture.  Duvets, pillows, all bedlinen, towels and teacloths are provided by the owner.

It is regretted that pets are not allowed and smoking is not permitted inside the premises.

Victoria Cottage runs a Friday to Friday week.
